Grand Opening for Spanish Palms Condominiums Reports Strong Turnout

Project manager Brandon Schneider reported a strong turnout for the grand opening of the Spanish Palms condominium complex in the southwestern valley.

Schneider said, "We had more than 500 people come through the guard-gated entry last Sunday. In fact, one guy lined up here at 2 a.m. so he could be the first buyer."

Las Vegas Condo Conversation Sales Up

Home Builders Research reported that Las Vegas condo conversions comprised 20 percent of the 38,517 new-home sales for the year of 2005.

They stated that "more than 7,700 of the 2005 new-home transactions were from apartment conversions."

Las Vegas condo conversations is an alternative to the pricy Las Vegas High Rise Condos that are springing up in the metro area.

Condo conversions can still run in the mid $160k range with 2 and 3 bedroom units under $190,000.
